i suggest that successful trading requires a certain level of two things: cognitive intelligence (IQ) and emotional intelligence (EQ).
We use our cognition to 'plan the trade' and our emotion to 'trade the plan'.
the greater these two skillsets are, and the more in balance they are with each other, the greater the chance of trading success and ultimately trading mastery.

wish i had more models that have been as consistently profitable as this one has lately...
this makes 4 winning trades in a row since june...
this particular trade was entered at the close of Tuesday 9/1/2009 and exited at the close of Friday 9/4/2009...like the exit signal generated on 8/20/2009, the position was only open for 3 days...this is rather quick for this model, which has an average winning position open for about 6 days...
this trade posted a 2.62% gain for the tracking vehicle, and recorded a new equity curve high...
